The Gift Shop is Flooded with New Merchandise!

Unique, one-of-a-kind gift ideas for everyone on your list this holiday season

With fall underway and the holidays on the horizon, we here at Beidler Forest always try to stock our gift shop with fun and interesting nature-themed merchandise. This year we’ve found a number of new puzzles, learning games, hats, and of course, stuffed animals.

Like squirrels we make sure we're fully stocked for the fall.
A selection of kid's games and outdoor exploration tools. Oh, and Poop Bingo.

From critical items needed for everyday life such as Poop Bingo, to popular items like Jabebo earrings and Sibley guides, we’ve made an effort to diversify our selection through both topic and fair trade groups such as Women of the Cloud Forest.

Women of the Cloud Forest field bags are handmade from Nepal and have been very popular in the gift shop!

We’ve also expanded our own products with the introduction of bird beanies! These were designed in-house by our staff, so you can’t find them anywhere else! We’re also in the process of developing new stickers, pins, and more!

An Ivory-billed Woodpecker, a Turkey Vulture, and a Black & White Warbler are featured on our new beanies, designed by staff!
These hats were aslo designed by our staff!

If you’re looking for some gift ideas this season come by and check out the shop, and then check out the swamp! And if you want to take a piece of the swamp home… Well, you can’t. Or… Can you? We’re excited to introduce our soon-to-be-available swamp bracelets, made on-site by volunteers out of cypress beads harvested sustainably and ethically from Four Holes Swamp!

This bracelet was made from Beidler Forest cypress cones. After the cones break apart and the seeds settle these "swamp pearls" will continue to float for years and are readily found throughout. We're talking high swamp fashion, here. Photo: Corinne Ramage

These beads (which are not seeds!) occur naturally within the cones of our 1,000 year old trees and come loose when the cones break apart on their own, dispersing seeds throughout the swamp. Now you can wear part of Four Holes wherever you go! They also float, and taste like wood, so what’s not to love!? Support us by buying and wearing a Beidler Forest swamp bracelet. We guarantee that you’ll find nothing like it anywhere else!

Note: admission fee is not required to shop; purchases are only available on days we are open to the public. Visitor center hours (beginning November 3rd until Spring): Wednesday – Saturday 9am – 5pm, Sunday 11am – 4pm.
