Guided Boardwalk Tours

In the distance a group of people stand and sit around where the Meeting Tree is on our boardwalk, they are facing a guide and listening.

We offer scheduled guided tours available to the public along our 1.75 mile boardwalk on select days. All are welcome! This trail curves between giant 1,000 year old cypress in one of two remaining virgin forests in the state of South Carolina, and keeps you high and dry while allowing you to observe the numerous wild animals that thrive in this nature sanctuary. An Audubon naturalist will go along with you and provide general knowledge about the swamp, which can include anything from ecology and hydrology to more nuanced details about our native flora and fauna. Our boardwalk is ADA compliant and this program is best suited guests 6 years old and up.

Guided walks offered during 2nd Saturdays are free!
